026 - Batteries

Welcome!

Welcome to thirty-two eleven (”3211”). This newsletter will entail: 3 Reads, 2 Rabbit Holes, 1 Watch, and 1 Listen — 3/2/1/1. Detailing what I have been up to, on the internet.

3 reads:

1 - The OG digital nomad. This guy created a computer on his recumbent bike and whipped around the world while working.

2 - Octopuses are crazy. Scientists have recently been finding similarities between humans and their brains. If you have not seen it, I recommend the movie "My Octopus Teacher" on Netflix.

3 - Tom Turcich of Haddon Township, New Jersey walked around the world, taking a total of 7 years.

2 rabbit holes:

1 - Love a good pen. These guys break down the best in the game and why.

2 - Lithium Batteries have become a major problem towards the environment, recycling, and surprisingly preventing them from blowing up. Tons of NYC Uber Eats e-bikers use Chinese made electric bikes with batteries not properly manufactured resulting in fires. I have been diving into the recycling process of these batteries and alternatives. Pretty cool article on a Harvard senior who found a solution.

1 watch:

1 - Threw this on with my roommate not knowing what we were getting into. Really wild film with tons of first account details - gets pretty dark but I recommend it.

1 listen:

1 - Clouds - BUNT. & Nate Traveller.

Cheers,
