012 - Bouldering

Welcome!

Welcome to thirty-two eleven (”3211”). This newsletter will entail: 3 Reads, 2 Rabbit Holes, 1 Watch, and 1 Listen — 3/2/1/1. Detailing what I have been up to, on the internet.

introduction:

I recently went bouldering in an indoor gym. After trying it out, I have so much respect for professionals. My forearms have been on fire for days due to soreness. If I lived closer, I would definitely go more often. I recommend trying it out sometime.

3 reads:

1 - What goes into the New York Times' Best Seller List. A few excerpts I found interesting:

"The New York Times best-seller list debuted in October 1931, reporting first on the top-selling titles in New York City before expanding in 1942. Over the years, what's known in the industry as “the list” has come to comprise eleven weekly and seven monthly lists, covering paperbacks, audiobooks, and e-books (combined with print sales), as well as separate lists for children’s books, business titles, and more."

"Which list the book would be considered for has a huge effect.” For example, whether a book is considered for the Hardcover Nonfiction weekly list or the Advice, How-To, & Miscellaneous weekly list might affect whether it becomes a best seller at all."

2 - The largest cultured meat factory is being built. For those who do not know, the definition of cultured meat is:

Cultivated meat, also known as cultured meat, is genuine animal meat (including seafood and organ meats) that is produced by cultivating animal cells directly. This production method eliminates the need to raise and farm animals for food.

3 - James Clear on giving up.

2 rabbit holes:

1 - Clutter Free Gift Ideas.

2 - Johnny Webber's Holiday Gift Guide.

1 watch:

1 - Insane Ski documentary based in Norway - a quick 45 min.

1 listen:

1 - Steven Pressfield on Joe Rogan.

Cheers,
