011 - Feral Hogs

Welcome!

Welcome to thirty-two eleven (”3211”). This newsletter will entail: 3 Reads, 2 Rabbit Holes, 1 Watch, and 1 Listen — 3/2/1/1. Detailing what I have been up to, on the internet.

introduction:

Happy Thursday! Following up on last week's newsletter - the marinated flank steak was fire. Marinating is very slept on, I recommend giving it a try. I was fortunate enough to be selected for Beehiiv's NewsletterXP, a course run by the founder of Beehiiv Tyler Denk and The Morning Brew's founder Alex Lieberman. They have brought on very interesting speakers including Codie Sanchez of Contrarian Thinking and Kendall Baker of Axios, among others. The insight from successful writers has been very interesting to hear the past few days.

3 reads:

1 - Feral Hogs cause $2.5 billion a year in damage.

Bonus: Some readers may not like this. But you can pay to shoot down feral hogs with a turret from a helicopter.

2 - Ideas that changed Morgan Housel's life.

3 - Alfalfa farming is 0.2% of the Utah economy but uses 68% of available water.

2 rabbit holes:

1 - Discover interesting music, new or old. This tool lets you search and filter through last.fm's top 30.000 artists of all time and play the top track for every artist.

2 - I like to offer much lower prices on unused shoes through Poshmark. Most of the time I forget because the offers are almost always instantly denied. However, someone recently accepted my $65 offer for these shoes:

I'm pumped!

1 watch:

1 - Planes landing during rain storms.

1 listen:

1 - Jye & Felivand - Ridin' with You

Cheers,
