006 - Gadgets

Welcome!

Welcome to thirty-two eleven (”3211”). This newsletter will entail: 3 Reads, 2 Rabbit Holes, 1 Watch, and 1 Listen — 3/2/1/1. Detailing what I have been up to, on the internet.

introduction:

This weeks rabbit holes focus are gadgets. Which apps, tools, or products I have been diving into lately. I love gadgets.

3 reads:

1 - CGI has revolutionized movies. Avatar 2 is going to be awesome. Interesting article highlighting Runway, an AI video editing software that is insane. Similar to DALLE-2 and other AI applications being released. We are just starting to chip away at the potential in this industry. See video below with a demo of what Runway can do:

CGI capabilities in the original Avatar movie. Pumped for Avatar 2.

2 -"In summary, when we look at the number of babies born by minute, and not just by day or week, we discover sharp daily spikes and a shallower dip at night. We can't help but wonder, why? What causes these spikes and dips? Disaggregating the births reveals that each delivery method has a distinct daily pattern."

3 - Interesting "advice" blog post/productivity guide.

2 rabbit holes:

1 - Highly recommend using this app for splitting up a bill after one person paid for everything - Tab.

2 - I recently upgraded my phone as the iPhone XR became too slow. The newest technology for iPhone models is MagSafe - a magnet on the back of the phone that can be used for wireless charging, wallets, pop sockets, etc. I switched my wallet to a MOFT Snap-on Phone Stand & Wallet. I now only need my phone and keys to do anything; carrying my ID and two cards with everything else in my Apple Wallet.
